Independently owned and operated, Hotel Maiyango is a quirky, original luxury boutique hotel, restaurant, cocktail bar and kitchen deli aiming to deliver memorable experiences.
Our ethos is encapsulated by our 'Maiyango Loves Local' commitment, which runs through all that we do. We are proud to support our local suppliers and producers, the local community and we take responsibility in developing local talent and preserving the environment.
As a small business we recognize and take our responsibility to the environment and the local community seriously. We strive to have a positive impact on both and we ensure all aspects of our operations adhere to this principle. We carefully consider suppliers who share our values and we ensure we are always able to offer the best and most environmentally friendly products to our guests.
Amongst our employees, we have an active ‘Green team’ to ensure that our hotel runs as ‘greenly’ as possible. They enthusiastically keep us all in check and constantly strive for ways that we can have a more positive environmental impact, they look at ways to reduce our energy consumption, our waste and identify where we can source greener products.
Leicester has a fantastic location in the heart of the country with excellent public transport links. There are two park and ride schemes that operate in Leicestershire and the drop off point is adjacent to the hotel. The train station is a 10-12 minute walk away and there are many bus stops surrounding our hotel.
We use a reputable ‘green’ laundry company.
For more than one night stays, we only change towels upon request.
Our feedback forms offer our guests an option to give us tips or ideas on how we can improve our services or be more ‘green’.
